The Homeless man saga continues.

Once while going to the reception hall before the wedding Rebecca and I saw a homeless man on the corner, the light was red so I read his sign... blah blah blah and then, 'God Bless, Grasias'
I rolled down my window, "You spelled 'grasias' wrong" I yelled at him. He wandered over. 'What?"
"You spelled gracias wrong"
"I did? He pointed to his sign, "G R A S I A S" saying each letter.
"yeah, it's G R A C I A S"
"I've got a lot of Mexican friends!" He blurted out.
"They were probably drunk when they told you how to spell it." Rebecca offered.
(btw- in true good friend fashion she had removed my purse from my lap when homeless man had approached the car)

Later Rebecca saw him holding a new sign where it was spelled correctly, but he had added 'GRANDE gracias'. What a champ.

too much watermelon

On Sunday I decided to buy a watermelon...another watermelon (I've been buying & eating them all summer).
Jeremy, "If you keep eating watermelons one day I'll wake up next to a giant watermelon"

because you know if you eat too much watermelon you turn into one.

While I was purchasing said watermelon at safeway I admitted I didn't know how to choose a good watermelon, and the last one I purchased there wasn't so great. The guy said you had put your ear up and listen to them to hear if they sounded hollow.
"Well," I said, "I put my ear up to them and knock on it but I don't actually know what I am listening to. I just do it for show."

The watermelon I chose is pretty delicious.
