Can you hear it?

"Do you hear it?", My son asks as he puts a shell up to my ear.

"Do you hear the water? It's just a shell...".

"Can you hear it?", He asks again as he pushes his face against my face, ear to shell to ear, cheek pressed hard on mine. He gasps, "I can hear it! It's the ocean just in time! ....but it's just a shell."

I was just thinking

Uzzi said a word he's not aloud to say. I explained it was a bad word. He then asks, 'what is a bad word, I was just thinking?'. I explained to him what a bad word was. 'Okaaaay.' He said. I guess he understands. Lol.

Ataliyah: 6 months.

My crazy little determined girl. She's crawling like a champ now, gets herself up to standing, and can sit up easy as can be. She's quick to smile- wakes up and goes to sleep with one on her face. She truly is a joy. She has started to really get into interacting with us and her brother- reaching up for me to pick her up, crying harder if she knows it will get her desired result that much faster- and she's got her papa wrapped around her little finger.
She had avacado for the first time this week- although she's been eager to eat for a long time. She also got a taste of blackberries as we picked and some apple to chew on as she seems to be teething.
She sleeps like a champ! Not anything like her bro in that department.
She's talk and skinny.
She's sweet as can be.
I can't imagine my life without her- she brings immense joy to our lives daily. What a beautiful blessing she is, my bright eyed little girlie.

Uzzi makes up stories.

Uzzi is in the bath with a couple trains and some other toys. I walk by and hear him say,

"'oh no! FLOAT!', Thomas cried."

What does the bird say?

"Is that the birds? You know what they said? 'Get out if my blueberries, get out of my blueberries!' That's what they said!"- Uzzi.
