Today we went to Woodburn company stores. Brookie shopped and Uzzi and I stayed outside in order for Uzzi to run and run until he couldn't run anymore. In the midst of running he came across two girls- around 6 years old. He approached boldly. They smiled and their grandmother (in Spanish so I'm just guessing) commented on how he was just the most handsome, smart, & funny boy on the planet. The girls smiled at him and my precious boy, well he did what I can only assume was a jig...in order to impress the ladies.
He shook his upper body, then leaned forward as far as he could go without tipping completely, then shook again, then moved his hips side to side. Yet again he did the upper body shake, followed by a couple spins, more tipping with added arm flailing, and ended it with three steps forward and then several yehaw leg stomps. All the while speaking gibberish.
I grabbed his hand in an effort to let them move along. One of the little girls just patted his head- I'm not sure any of us knew what else to do.

14 months today.
It is truly incredible to see the boy grow and change. He now gives the biggest squeeziest hugs & his precious kisses come with the cutest 'smooch' sound.
He's throwing huge tantrums and testing boundaries. I can see how hard it is for him when he doesn't get his way- and how he is learning how best to cope with the emotions that come with not getting your way. Right now his solution doesn't work- but we're working on learning others.
He's smart. Animal sounds, words, and even some sentences. He says cow and moo, horsey, baaa (for sheep & also horses) woof, cats say 'owww'.
Raaawwweeerrr is followed by his version of 'were you scared?' Like his Dino flashlight says. He asks 'was that?' while he points. Ball, pee pee, baba, nana, papa, & mama. Today he said baby. He says 'two' after you say one. 'Up up' when he wants up and you're not paying attention, 'down' when he's done being up. Bite and 'dink' for drink. 'Bye bye' while he waves and hi. I'm continually amazed.
He's gentle with animals- although he enjoys grabbing his kitty's tails. Even with the puppy he softly puts his hands on her back. I love that he loves animals. Especially that he loves dogs.
He is full of joy! He's quick to smile, affectionate & funny! His joy is contagious. He has his moments of fits and crying but most of the time he's got a smile. He truly is a joy to be around.
Every day I am thankful for him. I am blessed to have him in my life. He is amazing and wonderful & I'm so happy that I get to be his mama.

Mark Kos: Comedian.
My father told me today that he was to become a comedian. He then told me a joke that went something like this:
1. Lots of unnecessary details
2. Willamette University students smoking 'hashish' under a bridge.
3. Their parents are paying a lot of money for 'HIGHer education'.

Trader Joe's
Jeremy:"Why is Trader Joe's so popular if it's so un-American."
Me: "Why is it un-American...?"
Jeremy:".... because it's a trader."
Me: "That's so stupid (while I laugh pretty hard). hahaha- that was funny."
Jeremy: "Not if I had to explain it to you."

3 year old wants beer.
I was having a few sips of beer with our friends the other night when their son comes up to me. "I want a drink of that!" he said.
"I can't give alcohol to a minor." I told him.
"I PROMISE I won't hollllddd onto it!" Was his reply.

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.
What doesn't kill you makes you stronger- at least according to that song by Kelly Clarkson - which Jeremy hates with a passion. Knowing that Jeremy hates this song so much I like to turn it up whenever we are driving together and it comes on.
Then I took it a step further- I record it when it comes on in the car and send him a voice memo. The first time he got so mad. The second time he got even more mad- the he just started
Responding with 'no'. Which I assume means he is no longer listening to his wife's voice memo texts- which is fine because I know that he knows what it is and therefor plants the seed of the song in his mind. *insert evil laugh*.
I think I've sent him the chorus about 7 or 8 times. *insert more evil laughing *
It's not killing him- I can only hope that it makes him stronger.

Brookie discovers pinterest.
Backstory: at one point when I was like 6 years old I wrote my mother a letter that started out. "oh momy" so Brookie still likes to refer to herself as "momy"- the one missing M is important.
So I invited Brookie to join the pinterest cult and since then that's all she does...well once she figured it out...ok once she figured it out according to Brookie standards. Brookie pinterestisms that I love:
1. All her boards are "____ momy"
2. She seems to repin things several times every time she repins.
3. She likes to tell me about things she repinned from me because she doesn't realize I'm the one who pinned them.
Back to her boards:
'quilting momy'
'house stuff momy'
'foodie momy'
'beauty momy'
'funny momy'
And today she said, "I added a new board, 'nana momy'!"
My mom is awesome.

Matching Tattoos.
Brookie and I went shopping today.
As we passed a tattoo shop I yelled: "LET'S GET MATCHING TATTOOS!"
"Ok! I'll get mine on my butt crack!" Said my mother.
and then...
"and it will say Badonkadonk."

Three Year Old Logic
I made cookies over at Tabitha's house & when they were done Zeek wanted one. I told him that he could not have one right then.
So he went to his mom and asked for a cookie.
Zeek: "My mom said I can have a cookie in a few minutes!"
Me: "What, are you trying to rub my face in it?!"
Zeek: "No...I wanna rub MY face it in!"
